Michel Schwartz, an American artist, was born in Catskill, NY in 1926 to a family with strong ties to Jewish tradition; his father served as a rabbi. Recognized for his artistic prowess early on, he was admitted to the New York School of Art and Design at just 13 years old. Following his family's move to New York City, Schwartz pursued his education at Yeshivot Torat Chaim and Yaakov Yosef. His extensive body of work is showcased in prestigious locations such as the President's Residence and the Knesset in Israel, as well as Jerusalem's City Hall. Additionally, his creations adorn the White House, where a sculpture was gifted to President Reagan by Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir.
